CheckCRC

ID: BusCheck/CheckCRC

Checks whether the CRC of a frame matches the CRC resulting from its payload data.

Signals

FramePayload

Payload signal for which the CRCs shall be checked.

  • Direction: IN

  • Optional: False

RelevantFrames

This signal is expected to have samples, where the corresponding frame payload is to be checked by this trace step template. The actual signal values are irrelevant.

  • Direction: IN

  • Optional: True

FrameID

Optional signal of FrameIDs for each payload, if the CRC shall only be checked for frames with a particular FrameID, which must be specified through the parameter ‘FrameID’.

  • Direction: IN

  • Optional: True

FlexrayFrameCycle

Optional signal holding the FlexRay cycle counter for each frame. Must be provided alongside the parameters ‘FlexrayCycleBase’ and ‘FlexrayCycleRepetition’ to consider FlexRay cycle multiplexing.

  • Direction: IN

  • Optional: True

MdfDataLength

Optional signal of actual payload byte lengths, only feasible for MDF4 bus loggings.

  • Direction: IN

  • Optional: True

Parameters

FrameID

Only required if the CRC check shall be performed for frames with this particular FrameID. In this case, the signal ‘FrameID’ must provide the FrameIDs corresponding to the frame payloads.

  • Direction: IN

FlexrayCycleBase

Only required if the CRC check shall consider FlexRay cycle multiplexing. In this case, the signal ‘FlexrayFrameCycle’ must provide the FlexRay cycle counter corresponding to the frame payloads.

  • Direction: IN

FlexrayCycleRepetition

Only required if the CRC check shall consider FlexRay cycle multiplexing. In this case, the signal ‘FlexrayFrameCycle’ must provide the FlexRay cycle counter corresponding to the frame payloads.

  • Direction: IN

DataBitOffset

Number of the first payload bit that shall be considered by this trace step (including the CRC itself). Usually, this is the offset of the CRC field or E2E profile header that precedes the actual data.

  • Direction: IN

DataBitLength

Number of payload bits that shall be considered by this trace step (including the CRC itself).

  • Direction: IN

DataID

ID, which is incorporated into the CRC calculation and allows for verifying the identity of data elements.

  • Direction: IN

Profile

Method / profile to be used for CRC calculation. Can be one of the following:

  • CRC8 / Autosar E2E Profile 1

  • CRC8 / Autosar E2E Profile 2

  • CRC32 / Autosar E2E Profile 4

  • CRC16 / Autosar E2E Profile 5

  • CRC16 / DNP

  • (parameterized)
