This trace step template calculates an approximated value for the bus load based on baud rate and data length code (DLC) of the frame. It also takes into account the bit stuffing.

Note: This trace step template is only implemented for ASC files. It emits a new signal containing the approximated bus load in percent [%], which can be used in the next episode. By default, the emitting rate is 1 sample per second, but it can be varied using the SampleRate parameter.

MessageEvent

MessageEvent pseudo signal from measurement file. Per default this one is named “MessageEvent” in the measurement file (e.g. ASC).

BusLoad

Approximated bus load in percent [%].

BaudRate

Baud rate of the given bus in [sample/s]. Default: 500000 sample/s

  • Direction: IN

SampleRate

Sample rate for evaluation of bus load in [Hz]. Default: 1 Hz.
