Default recording configuration

Using the default recording configuration, it is possible to define the signal and recording groups as well as the settings for synchronizing the recordings only once instead of repeating this in each package.

The default recording configuration is created in a normal package and specified in the test configuration. In the default recording configuration, no variables may be marked for recording or used for parameterization of the synchronization.

If no suitable group is found in a package for signals from Signal group “Assign automatically” or per Record all test quanities, suitable groups are adopted from the default recording configuration. Furthermore, signals from default groups are transferred to groups of the same name in the package. If groups have been created in the package, but no synchronization has been defined, the synchronization will also be adopted from default groups with the same name.

If the option Always use signal groups and signals in test case packages and stimulation package steps is set, then all groups and signals of the package specified in the default recording configuration are transferred to main packages, which have set the test case flag, and to stimulation packages even if these groups and signals are not explicitly used.
