Patches¶
ecu.test includes a patch mechanism to load bug fixes and product extensions provided by the ecu.test support team in your existing installation.
Patch files to load must be placed in the “Patches” subdirectory of the ecu.test installation. After a restart of ecu.test, all patches should be loaded.
If patches are applied, the version string in the window title bar of ecu.test contains the following suffixes which give information about the loaded patches:
“+”: An official patch has been loaded successfully.
“~”: A test patch or a user workaround patch has been loaded successfully.
“!”: A patch could not be loaded successfully. An additional message is shown in the Message window.
ecu.test creates a log for the patch loading process (see Patch log). Additionally, a list of all loaded patches can be found here:
