Workspace creationΒΆ
When starting ecu.test a dialog appears to select or create a workspace.
To create a workspace the desired path needs to be entered or be selected via the help button on the right side.
The description field also offers the most recently used workspaces for direct selection.
By confirming the dialog with OK the workspace is selected and, if not yet existing, created. Afterwards ecu.test starts this workspace.
In the lower area of the dialog the following options are available after activating the check mark at Workspace settings:
- Show workspace selection at program start
Determines whether the dialog appears each time the program is started or ecu.test starts directly in the last recently used workspace. (This setting can later on be changed at Local settings.)
- Import settings from existing workspace
Applies the Workspace settings of the workspace that has been selected on the right side.
- Copy tutorial data
Copies the sample data of a tutorial that has been delivered with ecu.test into the selected workspace.
- Copy examples
Copies all examples that have been delivered with ecu.test into the selected workspace.
- Advanced workspace settings
Opens the Workspace settings and enables for example the adjustment of the default directories to be used.
Below that, the currently used license options are shown, and their (non-)use can be configured.
Info
Should the dialog not appear and ecu.test start directly the display of the dialog can be activated at Local settings.
