The tab “Trace analysis”

It is in tab Trace analysis that the actual drafting of trace analyses (inside a package) takes place.

At the top there is a symbol bar with four buttons.

They serve to (from left to right):

  • generate a new trace analysis,

  • rename the current trace analysis,

  • delete the current trace analysis,

  • copy the current trace analysis to the clipboard,

  • paste a trace analysis from the clipboard,

  • open this help.

Below there is a separate tab for each trace analysis of the current package that is divided into the following four sectors:

  • Description:

    Here a description of the trace analysis can be stored.

  • Synchronization:

    In this sector a Synchronization of traces can be configured.

  • Signal connection:

    This is the place of central management of generic signals, treated by the trace steps of the analysis.

  • Episodes and trace steps:

    In this place the actual procedure of the trace analysis is structured and determined by inserting trace steps into different episodes. How this is done in particular is described in sections Usage of trace step templates and Signal processing with trace steps.
