Mask editor¶
With masks you can specify a certain area of a picture. They can be used together with the MULTIMEDIA tool. More information about masks can be found here. The mask editor provides an easy way to create and edit such masks.
Furthermore it is possible to save parts of the image into a file to be used as expectation image during the test case,
Structure of the editor
The mask editor is separated into three parts.
Toolbar - The toolbar contains buttons to create a new mask and to open existing masks. Furthermore, you can change the reference image here. This image will be shown as background to make it easier defining masks.
Image and mask view - This section shows the mask and the reference image. When no reference image is chosen, the top left corner will be the reference point for the masks alignment.
Mask properties - With the elements contained in this section you can specify the properties of the mask. The position and lengths of an element are defined in pixels.
The position (x, y) specifies to the top left corner of the mask. The reference is the top left corner of the image.
With the repetition (x, y), you can define the replications of the main mask. You can use every single replication in the test case later.
The distance (x, y) specifies the offset of the masks replications. Masks can also overlay each other.
The main mask can also be created or moved using the mouse.
