SpecificsΒΆ

This interface allows, by means of hardware, direct CAN and CAN-FD as well as FlexRay bus access. It supports the test steps read signal and read/write signal group (all bus systems) as well as monitor (CAN only), and supports signal recording (all bus systems), Raw diagnostics with KWP2000 over ISO-TP (CAN only), the Mini residual bus simulation (CAN only), and Additional functions of the close-to-hardware bus connections (all bus systems).

Info

The APPLICATION ports can only be used with the Add-on ecu.test calibration

Supported hardware and drivers

To use the driver in ecu.test, you have to install the TE-Driver and ensure the installation directory is listed in the PATH variable.

place the files TE-DriverBase.dll and libtedrv.dll (Release or RelWithDebInfo variants; Debug is not supported) along with further DLL files these might depend on into one of the directories listed in the PATH variable, or add the directory where they are to said environment variable.

Peculiarities and Restrictions

The β€œCAN FD tolerant” mode of operation, where classical CAN 2.0 frames are transmitted and received on a bus where other participants exchange proper CAN FD frames, is not supported.
