    Port APPLICATION - DEFAULT 🛈¶

    Application access

    Stimulation¶

This port has no stimulus capabilities.

    Specifics¶

    Initial setup

You must set the properties ECUCPort configuration file and ECUMPort configuration file. All other options are optional. Usually the available signals are queried directly from the tool via the API, so just create a control unit in the test configuration without specifying an *.a2l or *.hex.

    Properties 🛈¶

    Name

    Available if

    Default value

    Valid values

    Type

    Description

    ECUCPort configuration file

    string

The path to the configuration file of the XIL-API ECUCPort on the tool host. Specify either an absolute path or a path relative to the model directory.

    Overwrite ECUCPort configuration parameters

    ‘<none>’

    string

Allows the port configuration parameters in the specified configuration file to be overwritten. The parameter paths, including the new values, must be specified in a JSON format, e.g. ‘{“sample.path”: value}’. The parameter paths to be overwritten must already be defined in the port configuration file.

    ECUMPort configuration file

    string

The path to the configuration file of the XIL-API ECUMPort on the tool host. Specify either an absolute path or a path relative to the model directory.

    Overwrite ECUMPort configuration parameters

    ‘<none>’

    string

Allows the port configuration parameters in the specified configuration file to be overwritten. The parameter paths, including the new values, must be specified in a JSON format, e.g. ‘{“sample.path”: value}’. The parameter paths to be overwritten must already be defined in the port configuration file.

    A2L file

    string

A2L file to use. A2L files that may be referenced in the port configuration file will be ignored. The file is automatically transferred to the tool host.

    HEX-File

    string

The image file which is associated with the A2L file. HEX files that may be referenced in the port configuration file will be ignored. The file is automatically transferred to the tool host.

    Default acquisition rate

    ‘Tool-Default’

    string

Declaration of measurement acquisition rate used as alternative in case no acquisition rate is set in the test step (”*” and “?” can be used as wildcard). “Tool-Default” activates the use of the default acquisition rate of the tool

Enforce default acquisition rate for recording

    ☐

    bool

The default acquisition rate is enforced for all quantities when recording.

    Recording format

    MF4

    [CSV, MDF, MF4]

    string

    File format for recording

    Delimiter

    Recording format: ‘CSV’

    ‘;’

    [‘;’, ‘,’]

    string

    Delimiter of CSV file

    Recording down-sampling rate

    <default>

    int

This value can be specified to store only every N-th signal value. “<default>” means that the down-sampling rate is not specified and the vendor default is to be used.

    Recording start timeout ❲s❳

    30

    int

Maximum allowed duration until the tool has actually started the capture after manually starting a capture.

    Calibration access

    ‘Automatic’

    [‘Automatic’, ‘Manual’]

    string

Automatic: Activate the calibration access automatically when the configuration is started. Manual: Calibration access must be activated and deactivated via tool jobs.

    Data transfer direction

    ‘Download’

    [‘Download’, ‘Upload’]

    string

Specifies the direction of the data transfer when activating calibration access.

Download: Writes the content of the current memory page to the ECU.

Upload: Fetches the content of the current memory page from the ECU.

    Start of measurement

    ‘Automatic’

    [‘Automatic’, ‘Manual’]

    string

Automatic: start measurement automatically at test start. Manual: Start and stop measurement using tool jobs

    Support for online A2L query

    ☑

    bool

Activates or deactivates the interface for the test configuration to query a2l information.

    Adapt matrix layout

    Support for online A2L query

    ☐

    bool

Convert matrices from row layout (XIL) to column layout (ecu.test). In contrast to ASAM XIL, which implements the row layout for storing matrices, ecu.test uses the column layout. If this option is set, matrices are adapted to the internally implemented column layout when they are read in and before they are used in ecu.test. As a result, matrices are displayed correctly and indexing is done consistently according to the scheme [column][row]. If this option is not set, the missing adaptation of the layout causes that one works with the transposed matrix (see e.g. display in report). Thus, indexing the transposed matrix according to the above scheme in ecu.test is equivalent to indexing the (non-transposed) original matrix using the scheme [row][column] from the tool’s point of view. An unset option corresponds to the former behavior. It is recommended to set this for new test cases.
