Test step context menu¶
Activate / Deactivate
Test steps can be deactivated and excluded from execution by deactivating them. So they do not need to be removed. If deactivated they are displayed gray.
Expand
This option expands the selected test step if it contains sub test steps.
Create / remove breakpoint
This option is used for test sequence debugging. Debugging is described in section Debug package.
Show in mapping viewer
Test steps requiring a mapping, have the option ‘Show in mapping viewer’ in the context menu.
Selecting this option results in the selection of the currently associated local or global mapping in the respective window.
No report
Test steps which may contain sub-test steps have the option ‘No report’. This applies, for example, to blocks, if-then instructions and loops.
Activating the option ‘No report’ for a test step specifies that the results of sub-test steps will not be documented. That means the test report shows only the major test step without any subordinated elements.
No report for …
The behavior of this option is similar to ‘No report’ with the additional point that test steps with specific results will not be documented. A selection dialog allows choosing the results not to be documented as a condition.
Result: If the sub-test steps fulfill the chosen condition only the major test step will be documented.
Info
The result type NONE is also evaluated. If this result occurs in one or more sub-test steps it also has to be considered in the condition.
During a test run this setting is passed on to all sub-test steps, so possible settings in the sub-test steps are overruled.
