Common tab¶

On the tab Common the name of the tester must be indicated. This can be done either by a direct entry (the name is fixed in the configuration) following a prompt at the start of the configuration, or by automatically using the Windows username. The name of the computer is inserted automatically and cannot be changed.

Files with mapping entries can be selected by means of the Global mapping file panel. This makes it easy to exchange the list of mapping entries between different test benches and/or make it available to others. Files can either be obtained from a local storage location or as an artifact reference from a configured test.guide depository. Using the dropdown button one may select via a file source (local, test.guide depository) any *.mafi or *.xam file. For local storage location the filepath does not matter, but it is recommended to store the files in the directory Parameters of the workspace.

By activating the check box Automatically load mapping files from model directories, ecu.test is ordered to include automatically all global mapping files which are contained in directories of activated model configurations when the test configuration is loaded. For that purpose, mapping files which may be kept on the Tool Server computer are first copied to the ecu.test computer and then loaded during configuration, in addition to the indicated global mapping files.
