    Port MODELACCESS - DEFAULT 🛈¶

    Model access

    Stimulation¶

    Restrictions:

    • Stimulus input signals are not supported.

    • Trace files being referenced by a DataFileSegment in an STI file are not converted automatically by ecu.test.

    Supported execution modes¶

See also: Temporal behaviour: Real time and simulation time modes

Preferred time source/mode: Continuous simulation time

    Real-time:

To use the Real-time mode it is necessary that the simulation speedup in the SILVER project properties (F3) is set to 1.00 or that the explicit Real-time mode is enabled. Moreover it is necessary that the computer running SILVER has sufficient power to ensure the execution of the simulation in real-time. To use real-time mode, the Test configuration in the Execution tab must be configured as the source ‘real time’.

    Stepwise simulation time:

To use the stepwise simulation mode, the port in the Test configuration in the Execution tab must be selected and the mode set to ‘stepwise’. Wait-until-true expressions are evaluated - if possible - by the tool. If the tool cannot evaluate them, the evaluation will be done by ecu.test. This can lead to lower performance. Invalid expressions are only noted in the log if the log level is set to “Maximum”.

    Continuous simulation time:

If the continuous mode is used, ecu.test will extend the SILVER Experiment by a further python module in order to transfer the time stamps. This should not be saved manually, because it will be automatically configured on creation. The time stamp resolution can be configured at the port. To use the continuous simulation mode, the port in the Test configuration in the Execution tab must be selected and the mode set to ‘continuous’.

    Properties 🛈¶

    Name

    Available if

    Default value

    Valid values

    Type

    Description

    Support for online model querying

    ☑

    bool

(De-)Activates the interface for online querying of model information by the test configuration

    ecu.test/Silver configuration file

    string

    Optional.

This file defines descriptions to map in SILVER available scalars as vectors or matrices in ecu.test.

    Reset simulation

    ‘never’

    [‘on test start’, ‘never’]

    Display values:

    • ‘on test start’: ‘On start of test’

    • ‘never’: ‘Never’

    string

Specifies when the simulation is reset.

    On test start:

The simulation will be reset before starting a test.

    Never:

The simulation will not be reset.

    Enable simulation control

    ☐

    bool

If True, the simulation will be started after connecting with SILVER and stopped after disconnecting

Port used for streaming the current model time

    2370

    int

This port is used by a socket connecting to ecu.test, streaming the current model time from SILVER

    MacroStepMultiplier applied for model-time streaming

    1

    int

In order to decrease the impact on the simulation it is possible to set down the interval used for delivering timestamps to ecu.test. Setting a number n will result in every n-th timestamp to be sent (instead of each).

Use SILVER’s internal model-time for recordings

    ☐

    bool

Uses SILVER’s internal model-time as start time for recordings instead of starting at 0.
