Specificsยถ
To write a model parameter, you can use the variables in the tree node โ<Model Parameters>โ. These variables are also listed in VeriStand in the โModel Parameter Managerโ. After writing a variable, it can take a view milliseconds until the new value can be read from the signal. Parameters can not be recorded.
Aliases can be accessed via the tree node โ<Aliases>โ. For aliases that point to a model parameter, direct writing is not supported. Please use the node โ<Model Parameters>โ to manipulate such values.
With the node โ<Channel Fault Manager>โ a signal can be forced to a specific value. By writing to a quantity listed under this node, a fault is applied to the corresponding signal. Subsequent Read test steps to that signal will then always return the specified value. Executing a Reset step on the faulted channel will remove the fault. The signal will then return its true value again when read. For more information on the usage of the Channel Fault Manager please refer to the VeriStand help.
Supported project files
Veristand offers two project file formats (.nivsproj, .nivsprj). Although nivsproj files have been declared legacy, only these contain the Python wrapper required for ecu.test. The newer project format cannot be used. When opening a project, Veristand automatically saves a project in the old format alongside the original project.
Further information are available in the FAQ on the NI website.

Open workspace after connect |
โ |
bool |
If this option is set to True, the workspace will be opened automatically after connecting with VeriStand. |

Open project explorer after connecting |
โ |
bool |
If this option is enabled, the Project Explorer is displayed, otherwise not. |

float |
Record with the specified frequency in Hz. If the value is greater than the modelโs sample rate, all samples will be recorded. |
||
Undeploy project on disconnect |
โ |
bool |
Enabling this option causes the VeriStand project to be undeployed when ecu.test disconnects. |
||
Close project on disconnect |
โ |
bool |
Enabling this option causes the project in VeriStand to be closed on disconnect from ecu.test. |
||
Close tool on disconnect |
โ |
bool |
Enabling this option causes VeriStand to be closed on disconnect from ecu.test. |
