Ports¶
Specifics¶
Usage of SMF files¶
This tool interface allows it to use LabCar SuT Mapping Files (SMF) as a source for context specific labels of the model elements and additional informations (units, verbal conversion tables).
Referencing of SMF files¶
There are two ways to set up the paths of the SMF files, which should be used:
The “SMF files” property in the test bench settings of the corresponding model port can handle multiple file paths separated by comma.
If the “SMF files” property is set to “<auto>” (the default), the SMF files can be selected or entered in the test configuration’s tab “plattform” while configuring the model port. Corresponding test bench configuration must be selected!
The following rule should always be observed:
Relative SMF paths will primarily be resolved relating to the directory of the current model file. Alternatively, the path can be entered relative to the tool host’s base path. For local tool connections, that is the workspace directory. Absolute file paths refer to locally (on the ecu.test computer) available SMF files.
IMPORTANT: The order in which the SMF files are given is decisive: Firstly parsed mappings will be dominant and won’t be overwritten by mappings of following SMF files.
Using the SMF Identifiers¶
The parsed mappings are displayed in the DataViewer’s Tab “Model” with the name “_SMF-Mappings”.
IMPORTANT: Only those elements are displayed that are actually mapped on an existing model entity.
SMF elements can be used similar to model elements:
The units are read from the SMF file.
If defined, conversion tables and VTABS (Verbal conversion tables) are accessible.
SMF elements can further be used in the Tranceanalysis.
Info
The hierarchy is shown in the Model access tab, but only the unique model variable name is used during further execution.
Playback of Stimuli¶
LabCar supports the playback of STI files for the stimulation of input quantities
Details and restrictions are noted in the stimulus documentation of the SMF Port.
The StartStimulus test step additionally switches InPorts to use the signal generator. You can configure (in the test bench configuration) whether the switch shall happen before or after starting the signal generator. LabCar switches the InPorts back to their previous state (model or constant) without ecu.test explicitly telling it to. When using a SMF_Bosch port, the .sel subsignal is therefore not automatically reverted to “model” or “const”, if it points to a different target than the .gen.sel subsignal.

☑ |
bool |
If True, all signals will be registered in the task “Asynchronous RTPC Access”. Thus always the most up-to-date values of the model will be returned. If False, the signals will be registered in the task specified within the corresponding mapping item. |
