Specifics¶

This interface allows, by means of hardware, direct CAN, LIN and FlexRay bus access. It supports the test steps read signal, read signal group (all bus systems) as well as monitor (CAN only) and supports signal recording (all bus systems).

For the interface to be available, the directory including the files BPNGClientLib.dll and BPNGOnlineStreamingLib.dll need to be referenced in ToolLibs.ini under the section BluePiratBusAccessLib as dllLocation. These files are available as Telemotive Client Libraries from MAGNA Telemotive GmbH. The interface was tested against versions 3.4.3.0, 4.1.0.38, 4.2.0.40, and 4.2.2.24.

Recording of bus activity is performed on the logger’s hard disk with subsequent download in various formats, either individually for each bus / port, or jointly across all connected busses, as a tool log recording.

Caution

When using this interface, the port start phase during test case initialization may occasionally take extremely long (up to several minutes).

If you use BLF as output format, a copy of the file binlog.dll must be in %windir%/System32/. The file can be obtained from Vector Informatik GmbH.

DownloadAllTraceData¶

Downloads all recordings between the start and end markers as a zip file. If the start and/or end markers are not unique, the last marker set is used. In addition the recorded data can be converted into various formats.

SetMarker¶

Sets an InfoEvent as a marker. Later, it can be used to download all recordings between two markers.
