Info

Ports marked with ✦ are part of the Add-on ecu.test calibration (subject to a separate license)

Specifics

This interface allows, by means of hardware, direct CAN bus access. It supports the test steps read signal, read/write signal group as well as monitor and supports signal recording, Raw diagnostics with KWP2000 over ISO-TP, the Mini residual bus simulation and Additional functions of the close-to-hardware bus connections.

Supported drivers

To use the driver in ecu.test, it is necessary that the dll directory (e.g. C:/Program Files/ETAS/BOA_V2/Bin/x64/Dll/Framework) is added to the PATH variable.

Additionally the correct driver for the used hardware has to be installed. Installation is usually done via the Hardware Service Pack.

Info

Not all ETAS hardware is supported by the 64 bit version of BOA.

Tested hardware:

  • Vector VN8970

  • Vector VN1610

  • ETAS ES582.1

  • ETAS ES584.1
