Specificsยถ

This tool connection allows you to start, stop and then retrieve recordings from IPETRONIK ETHOS data loggers.

Preparationยถ

The following additional licenses are required to use the connection: SCRIPT_ENG, UI_OPENABK.

It is not yet possible to set the channels to be recorded via ecu.test. Instead, they must already be defined in the configuration file of the logger (.ccmc) and assigned to a data set. In addition, the tool jobs to start and stop the recordings require a trigger. To set this up in the configuration file, the following steps are necessary:

  1. Create a new script and insert the following:

    int trigger_taster;

    ON EVENT HID_KEY (HID_KEY_TRIGGER, HID_KEY_EVENT_PRESS, 0) {
        trigger_taster=1;
    }
    ON EVENT HID_KEY (HID_KEY_TRIGGER, HID_KEY_EVENT_RELEASE, 0) {
        trigger_taster=0;
    }

    SIGNAL 'Trigger_Taster' (10, trigger_taster);

  2. Create a new standard trigger and enter "Trigger_Taster" = 1 as the trigger formula

  3. Create a second standard trigger and enter "Trigger_Taster" = 0 as the trigger formula

  4. Make the following settings in the Generate tab of the dataset to be recorded:

    • Select Pause is inverted start as Mode

    • Select the first previously created trigger as Start-trigger

    • Select At shutdown and trigger as Completion-condition

    • Select the second previously created trigger as Trigger
