Specifics¶
This tool connection enables the start, stop and subsequent download of recordings with ViGEM CCA data loggers.
The tool connection can be used locally or via Tool Server. The following conditions must be met on the tool host:
a recent ViGEM CCA framework is installed
the installation path to the ViGEM CCA framework is provided via the environment variable CCA_FRAMEWORK_HOME_x_y_z (e.g. CCA_FRAMEWORK_HOME_2_0_3 = C:/Program Files (x86)/ViGEM GmbH/CCA Framework/v2.0.3/)
the logger is turned on and accessible as a network drive from the tool host
For reliable recording the logger should record continuously, so the property ‘start_event’ of the relevant writer should be set to ‘Start immediately’. Similarly, the property ‘stop_event’ should be set to ‘disabled’.
When connecting to the logger, the keep_logger_alive option is set to True to prevent the logger from shutting down automatically while ecu.test is connected.
