Touch input¶
This dialog is displayed when you add a touch input test step within the media access tab (via the context menu on an image or a mask) to your test case.
This dialog is divided into two sections:

Actions
In this section, a concrete touch input action can be selected from the drop-down menu. This action can be specified with several parameters by value and unit. If the coordinates of the action should be determined automatically by ecu.test agent, the “Prompt” option can be selected in the second drop-down menu and a corresponding instruction, e.g. “Click the Home button”, can be entered in the text field below. In this case, the agent will determine the coordinates of the action at runtime.
A preview image for the current action and its chosen parameters is displayed on the right hand side of the dialog. Parameters can be set as an expression in the respective text field directly. Alternatively, they can be changed interactively with drag-and-drop on the bullets in the preview image. The parameters in the text field are then updated to match the preview image. For the “Prompt” option, no interaction with the preview image is possible, since the coordinates are determined at runtime.
For direct gesture capture on a live preview, see Interactive Input Recorder.
For all actions it is possible to parameterize the positions of one or more fingers on the screen. Additionally, it is necessary to define further, more specific parameters. The following table briefly summarizes all available actions including the action-specific parameters.
