Port MODELACCESS

Stimulation

Stimulation is supported only for signals in the Simulink model. Parameters cannot be stimulated.

Restrictions:

  • Stimulus input signals are not supported.

  • Trace files being referenced by a DataFileSegment in an STI file are not converted automatically by ecu.test.

Supported execution modes

See also: Specifics of time modes

Preferred time source/mode: Stepwise simulation time

Real-time:

To use real-time mode, the Test configuration in the Execution tab must be configured as the source ‘real time’.

Stepwise simulation time:

To use the stepwise simulation mode, the port in the Test configuration in the Execution tab must be selected and the mode set to ‘stepwise’.

Continuous simulation time:

To use the continuous simulation mode, the port in the Test configuration in the Execution tab must be selected and the mode set to ‘continuous’.

Load model values successively

Model configuration

☑

bool

Specifies that when the model values are queried online, only those which are currently required (“lazy loading”) are loaded. Should be used on very large models to speed initial tool start and reduce memory usage. Choose “False” to load all model values at once, which slows down configuration startup, but will improve performance during test case development.

Load base workspace

Model configuration

☐

bool

Load variables, signals, and parameters from the base workspace and the model workspace of the main model during configuration start. They will be displayed in a separate node in the model tree. Because this has performance implications during configuration start, this option should only be enabled if these entities are actually needed.

Get sample times from model

Model configuration

☐

bool

Gather all sample times that are available in the model and make them accessible as “acquisition rate” in signal mappings. This may lead to an additional model compilation pass and thus may have negative performance implications during configuration start. Especially with big models or a high count of referenced models.

Replace Function-Call-Inports

Model configuration

☐

bool

When using Export Function Models, ecu.test may replace Function-Call-Inports with Function-Call-Generators automatically. Details are described in the user documentation.

Terminate model after configuration start

Model configuration

☐

bool

Normally the model is in compiled state after the configuration start. With this option it can be terminated instead.

Simulation behavior

Automatically start/stop simulation

Simulation behavior

☑

bool

If this option is activated, the simulation will be started before the test run and stopped afterwards

Use Fast Restart mode

Simulation behavior

☐

bool

Activates the Fast Restart mode for the model. See documentation for details and restrictions.

Record model states

Simulation behavior

☐

bool

Activates the recording of model states and shows them in the model access tree.
