Port SERVICEACCESS - SERVICE-PCAP-PASSIVE

Port that supports passive Ethernet service communication based on an own PCAP-based network stack

This port requires a PCAP driver to be installed.

This port requires a PCAP driver to be installed.

Stimulation

This port has no stimulus capabilities.

Description

Network interface card

[ONLINE]

string

The network interface card or network adapter to be used for receiving network packets

Automatic data reception on test run

☑

bool

Only operative if on the left for ‘Start’ either ‘Always’ is chosen, or ‘If necessary’ and the port is in use in the test configuration.

Logger Protocol Settings

Logger protocol

[, ASAM CMP, PLP/TECMP]

string

Use a logger protocol such as ASAM CMP. Ethernet frames contained in the logger messages are then extracted.

Device and Stream IDs

Logger protocol: ‘ASAM CMP’

string

Identifiers of the devices and streams as a list of tuples, each consisting of device ID and stream ID, e.g.: (1,2),(3,4). Leave empty if no filtering based on device and stream ID is needed.

Interface IDs

Logger protocol: ‘ASAM CMP’

string

Identifiers of the interfaces: empty if no filtering based on interface IDs is required; several can be separated by commas.

Device IDs / Probe IDs

Logger protocol: ‘PLP/TECMP’

string

Identifiers of the devices / probes: empty if no filtering based on device / probe IDs is required; several can be separated by commas.

Interface IDs / Bus Spec IDs

Logger protocol: ‘PLP/TECMP’

string

Identifiers of the interfaces / bus specs: empty if no filtering based on interface / bus spec IDs is required; several can be separated by commas.

Use IPC

Logger protocol: ‘PLP/TECMP’

☐

bool

Use IPC instead of SOME/IP

Outer VLAN mode

disable

[disable, single tagging, single tagging (any ID)]

string

If set to ‘single tagging’, take an additional IEEE 802.1Q tag outside the logger protocol into account and filter by the specified VLAN id; or if set to ‘single tagging (any ID)’, the tag itself must be present but the VLAN id is not relevant.

Outer VLAN id

Outer VLAN mode: ‘single tagging’

0

int

Filter incoming packets by this VLAN id, so only packets with a matching VLAN id will pass.

VLAN Settings ❲IEEE 802.1Q❳

IPC is disabled

VLAN mode

IPC is disabled

auto

[auto, disable, single tagging]

string

Set to ‘auto’ if the VLAN id from the database should be used, ‘disable’ if no VLAN should be used or ‘single tagging’ if a fixed VLAN id should be specified

VLAN id

IPC is disabled » VLAN mode: ‘single tagging’

0

int

If incoming packets have a VLAN tag, they will be filtered and only packets having this VLAN id will pass. Incoming packets without any VLAN tag will also pass the filter.

SOME/IP Settings

IPC is disabled

SD Multicast IP

IPC is disabled

‘auto’

string

Multicast IP address to be used for Service Discovery. Set it to ‘auto’ if the value from the database should be used

SD Port

IPC is disabled

‘auto’

string

UDP port to be used for Service Discovery. Set it to ‘auto’ if the value from the database should be used.

Behavior in case of protocol errors

IPC is disabled

‘NotPresent’

[‘ERROR’, ‘NotPresent’]

string

Behavior of the test step when a protocol error occurs (e.g. the control unit does not respond). By default ‘NotPresent’ is returned. Alternatively, the test step can be evaluated with ‘ERROR’.

AddFilter

Receive the specified interface ID / Bus Spec ID in addition to those specified in the test bench configuration, until the end of the test

LearnBPFilter

Learns the endpoints (source IP address and port) of all needed services. Endpoints that are encountered within the specified timeout, but are not needed, will be transformed into a negative Berkeley Packet Filter which drops corresponding network packets. This filter will be used for reception in the test case as well as for pcap(ng) recording via this port. The negative filter may be extended by a user-defined part using BPF syntax. If the recording is already running, the learned filter has no influence on it.

Note: The job is no longer supported as it is no longer needed.

Parameterization

Parameter

Name

Default value

Valid values

Type

Description

clearCache

False

[False, True]

bool

Resets the cache of a previous call. The endpoints which exist in the network will therefore be learned anew. But the call will take longer in this case.

timeout

5

float

Time in seconds (float) until learning will be stopped

userBpf

string

Optional extension of the negative filter. Please provide positive in BPF syntax what should also be discarded by the filter, e.g. ‘vlan 42’

Return value

Type

Description

result

object

Dictionary containing neededEndpoints, otherEndpoints (for the negative filter), bpf (the resulting filter Expression), bpfLearn (filter expression temporarily used while learning)

StartReceiving

Manually starts the reception of network packets
