Port LOGGING - DLT-VERBOSE

Access to DLT verbose messages

Stimulation

This port has no stimulus capabilities.

Description

Active mode

☑

bool

Whether the port is also allowed to send network packets. If unset, the port can only passively receive packets.

Physical Layer ❲Network Access❳

Network name

string

Name of the network. Must be the same like the network name used by other participants whose packets should be received if no Switches etc. are defined in the SIL Kit configuration.

Controller name

string

An arbitrary name to be used when registering the ethernet controller to SIL Kit.

MAC address ❲client❳

‘02:00:4C:4F:4F:50’

string

String (format: 02:00:4C:4F:4F:50), ‘default’ if a default MAC address should be used

Logger Protocol Settings

Active mode is disabled

Logger protocol

Active mode is disabled

[, ASAM CMP, PLP/TECMP]

string

Use a logger protocol such as ASAM CMP. Ethernet frames contained in the logger messages are then extracted.

Device and Stream IDs

Active mode is disabled » Logger protocol: ‘ASAM CMP’

string

Identifiers of the devices and streams as a list of tuples, each consisting of device ID and stream ID, e.g.: (1,2),(3,4). Leave empty if no filtering based on device and stream ID is needed.

Interface IDs

Active mode is disabled » Logger protocol: ‘ASAM CMP’

string

Identifiers of the interfaces: empty if no filtering based on interface IDs is required; several can be separated by commas.

Device IDs / Probe IDs

Active mode is disabled » Logger protocol: ‘PLP/TECMP’

string

Identifiers of the devices / probes: empty if no filtering based on device / probe IDs is required; several can be separated by commas.

Interface IDs / Bus Spec IDs

Active mode is disabled » Logger protocol: ‘PLP/TECMP’

string

Identifiers of the interfaces / bus specs: empty if no filtering based on interface / bus spec IDs is required; several can be separated by commas.

Outer VLAN mode

Active mode is disabled

disable

[disable, single tagging, single tagging (any ID)]

string

If set to ‘single tagging’, take an additional IEEE 802.1Q tag outside the logger protocol into account and filter by the specified VLAN id; or if set to ‘single tagging (any ID)’, the tag itself must be present but the VLAN id is not relevant.

Outer VLAN id

Active mode is disabled » Outer VLAN mode: ‘single tagging’

0

int

Filter incoming packets by this VLAN id, so only packets with a matching VLAN id will pass.

VLAN Settings ❲IEEE 802.1Q❳

VLAN mode

disable

[disable, single tagging]

string

Set to ‘auto’ if the VLAN id from the database should be used, ‘disable’ if no VLAN should be used or ‘single tagging’ if a fixed VLAN id should be specified

VLAN id

VLAN mode: ‘single tagging’

0

int

If incoming packets have a VLAN tag, they will be filtered and only packets having this VLAN id will pass. Incoming packets without any VLAN tag will also pass the filter.

IP Settings

Active mode is enabled

IP version

Active mode is enabled

IPv4

[IPv4, IPv6]

string

Selection of the IP version used

IP address ❲client❳

Active mode is enabled

string

IP address to be used as a client. It must be located in the same subnet as the IP address of the device under test, and must not be equal to the IP address of another participant or the IP address which the operating system assigned to the selected network interface.

Subnet mask / prefix length

Active mode is enabled

‘default’

string

For IPv4 addresses a subnet mask or prefix length can be given (format: ‘255.255.255.0’ or ‘24’). ‘default’ uses the default subnet mask of the network class of IP address (client).

For IPv6 only a prefix length is accepted and the value ‘default’ is not supported.

Gateway address

Active mode is enabled

string

IP address of the gateway that allows reaching hosts outside of the local subnet. Leave empty if no gateway is needed

DLT Settings

Active mode is enabled

DLT TCP auto reconnect timeout [sec]

Active mode is enabled

float

ecu.test will automatically restart the DLT TCP connection if no new DLT messages arrive within the configured number of seconds. An empty value for the timeout switches the auto reconnect feature off.

Pre-recording circular buffer

Active mode is enabled

0

int

Since the recording gets started only a short time after the connection to the ecu is established, even with auto-start/stop, messages sent by the ECU only once immediately after the connection is made, can be lost. With this setting, the recording can be “extended forward” by the specified number of messages, in order to include these initial messages.

Reconnect

In Active Mode, reconnects and clears the message buffers.
