Generic test steps¶

Generic test steps can be chosen if a test step needs to be inserted but it is not exactly specified which mapping element has to be used (e.g. variable in model or INCA).

If an element from the Generic tab is selected, the default dialog is shown, but it does not contain any information about the mapping element.

After a mapping name has been determined , the general information about saving the return value and its evaluation can follow.

For that step again a local mapping is established which, however, has not yet any concrete settings.

Before a test can run a generic step must be connected with an existing mapping – either local or global.
