CANoe Test Module Runner

This test step facilitates execution of test modules in CANoe.

This test step can only be executed if the tool adapter Vector: CANoe / CANalyzer exists in the testbench configuration. is connected, and the measurement is running.

In the test step’s configuration window, at the very top under Test environment, one can choose a test environment. Alternatively, one can type its name, enclosed in single or double quotes, as well as enter an expression, which can e.g. refer to test case variables or global constants, and which is evaluated to the name of a test environment.

In the section Test modules all available test modules of the chosen test environment are shown, except those that are disabled in CANoe. By checking them, they are chosen for execution. Alternatively, one can enter an expression, which has to provide the names of the test modules to be executed as a list, or one chooses run all test modules of the test environment.

In the section Settings one can specify a Timeout. Each test module gets aborted if it takes longer to run than the specified timeout. One can either enter a number, or an expression which gets evaluated to a number.

Finally, one can choose whether the summary report and/or the individual test module reports shall be copied to the ecu.test report directory.

In the ecu.test test report, the executed test modules are listed together with their respective results and execution duration. The copied reports are also shown.

The verdict of the test step is dictated by the worst verdict of the executed test modules, where abort due to timeout is rated as ERROR.
